Clients in KeepSight belong to a household. The household groups siblings together and holds the parent and guardian contact information that’s shared across children in the same family.
How households work
When you create a new client, KeepSight automatically creates a household (e.g., “Smith Household”) and links the client to it. When adding a sibling, you can join the existing household instead of creating a new one — this avoids re-entering the same parent contact info.
Contacts
Each household has one or more contacts — typically parents or guardians. For each contact you can store: name, relationship to the child, phone number, email, address, and whether they’re the primary or secondary contact.
Contacts are shared across all children in the household. Update a parent’s phone number once and it applies to every sibling’s record.
Things to know
- A client can only belong to one household.
- Households are created automatically when you create a client. You don’t need to set one up first.
- If you need to move a client to a different household (e.g., a data entry mistake), ask your admin.
